Anne Ray

I have worked as a waitress, a gardener, an English teacher, a fish monger, and now as an editor-type at JSTOR, working on special projects, such as digitizing Hebrew language journals on a large scale and working with big institutions, and also selecting content in literature, archaeology, philosophy, Latin American Studies, and law. I'm interested in bookstores and reading on trains and mobile devices and obscure literary magazines. I try to connect what I learn in my professional life to the changes occurring to our everyday lives, like the proliferation of mobile devices and the ease of accessing scholarly works. I live in Brooklyn and like everyone else there, will one day write a novel. Perhaps more relevant, one day I'd like to write something (god only knows what!) about the cultural, or, just human impact of the spread of digital content. Yeah, I'll let you know when I figure it out.
